As we grow our business, we’re happy to announce some recent growth in our leadership team. The moves are a logical step forward as we shape the organization around our strategy to become the premier engine for handling and interacting with sensitive data, enabling a world where responsible data governance is simple, expected, and universal.
Our founder, Adam Ghetti, is moving to a chief evangelist position so that he can focus full time on external market activity. He spends most of his time already directly engaging customers, prospects, partners, investors, press, and other audiences spreading the word about why trust in data handling is so important and how it can be solved comprehensively at scale. This change affords him the flexibility to ramp those efforts to the benefit of Ionic and the security market at large.
Bill LeBlanc, long time Ion and team lead, has been promoted to CTO. We have consolidated the product, engineering, integrations, and enablement functions under his leadership going forward. It allows a singular focus on all things related to products, technology, and ecosystem enablement to deliver value to customers. Bill has a distinct background having served as CTO for Steelbox and as a Distinguished Engineer in the Office of the CTO for Aruba Networks. He brings a high sense of urgency to the role and will be a fantastic driving force for Ionic.
Steve Pugh is formally moving into the key position of CISO for us. As we grow, we need to show leadership internally and externally on industry best practices for security. Steve has an impressive background in the security space, spending meaningful time in the Air Force, NSA, and White House. He brings extensive expertise to the market on behalf of Ionic.
With these changes, we are poised to take advantage of our phenomenal market opportunity to fundamentally improve the way data is interacted with and handled. We are on a mission to simplify and prove that data should be born protected and remain so throughout its lifecycle.
